TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DAY CARE & BOARDING


1. Any client, associate, companion, animal and their property enter upon and stay at the premises entirely at their own risk. The owner or agent acting on behalf of the owner client accepts this risk and confirms that they have adequate insurance in this regard.

Any client who agrees to have their dog socialise with other dogs and exercised free of restraint with other dogs within the confines of Penn Wood Stables excepts all additional risks.

2. We reserve the right not to accept a dog for boarding. Dogs that have not been castrated, bitches that are in season and puppies less than six months old will be declined.

The client is responsible for providing appropriate and adequate food, bedding and grooming equipment for a dog boarding.

3. The owner or agent acting on behalf of the owner client is responsible for:-

Confirming that their dog(s) has current vaccinations against Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Canine Parvovirus and any other relevant diseases including Bordatella Kennel Cough. The course of vaccinations must be completed at least 4 weeks before the first date of boarding or in accordance with veterinary or manufacturers instructions and provide copies of all vaccination documentation if and when required.

All clients dogs should be treated for fleas, external parasites and worms on a regular basis before being accepted for boarding.

Provide details regarding any allergies or vices which the dog(s) suffer from. We will not accept any responsibility for allergic reactions.

Confirm that the dog(s) suffers from no contagious infection. In the event that any dog is carrying an infection we reserve the right to terminate boarding with immediate effect and remove that dog to an isolation area away from other dogs, or designated vet or kennels at the owner/clients cost for collection by the owner or his agent.

If any dog shows characteristics that are considered dangerous suffers with incontinence or lack of house training and or is considered unsuitable for boarding the client or their agent will be asked to remove the dog from Penn Wood Stables. In an emergency every effort will be made to contact the client or their agent. If contact is not possible the dog will be placed in boarding kennels at the owner/ clients expense.

Under such circumstances the owner/client accepts no contract or agreement has been broken and that all monies due to Vanessa Hemstock remain payable for services rendered up to time of collection or departure.

With the exception of minor damage and wear and tear the owner client is responsible for any significant damage to property by their dog(s) whilst being boarded at Penn Wood Stables caused by a vice or vices not disclosed in advance.

4. We reserves the right to take whatever action is necessary to ensure the well being of dogs staying at the premises.

Dogs in need of veterinary attention will in the first instance be treated by the clients vet. If that is not possible we reserve the right to obtain treatment from our own veterinary surgeon at the clients cost.

Our policy document regarding what we treat as a medical emergency and what we consider should be monitored for possible veterinary treatment within 24 hours is available upon request.

5. We will take all reasonable care and skill in the care of an owners dog(s) at Penn Wood Stables. Dogs will be checked over twice a day when brushed and any issues noted. Whilst we do not provide professional grooming such service can be provided by a professional company at owners expense. We will also as far as possible provide the services requested by a client, however we shall not be liable if we are unable to perform the services or delays occur in providing the services due to failures beyond our care and skill.

6. Owners are liable to pay all fees in full. The owner is liable to pay our charges together with any additional sums which are agreed with the owner for the provision of the services and all accounts must be settled in full at termination of service. Bookings for Boarding that are cancelled are chargeable as follows. 7 days notice or less 25 % of total boarding fees. 48 hours notice or less 50% of total boarding fees. If any fees remain unpaid after a period of 28 days. Interest will become chargeable at a rate of 8% per annum above the prevailing Bank of England Base Rate at that time until payment is made.

7. In accordance with current General Data Protection Regulations Vanessa Hemstock will need to store some personal data belonging to you. This information is used to contact you with regard to your pet and for the services we provide. The data is not shared outside of this business and is kept securely by Vanessa Hemstock. We only ask for information we need or may need from you in the future. When you no longer need our services Vanessa Hemstock will destroy the information you have provided.

8. This contract is subject to the laws of England. All disputes arising out of it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts in England.
